Judy Banks as "The Grandmother"
Judy Banks began her career on stage, playing the juvenile lead in the professional version of Salad Days. She went on to make her television debut as the host of The Fred Bear Show (the forerunner to "Humphry B. Bear") and then Breakfast A-Go-Go (Channel 0, now Channel 10) in the late 1960's - one of the first popular breakfast shows on Melbourne television. She also featured as a regular on Four For The Show - a variety series on ABC Television that also starred Michael Cole, Stuart Finch and Shirley Summers, and made several other Guest Host appearances for the ABC in other variety shows such as Personally Yours. In recent times Judy has appeared on Neighbours as "Eleanor Summers", as well as the critically acclaimed feature film Dalkeith.
Judy, with husband Bob Phillips (Producer on shows such as In Melbourne Tonight, on GTV-9). now runs TV World - Museum of Modern Media at the Moorooduc Coolstores, Victoria.
