Katheen Ronchi as "The Mother"

Auditioning successfully for Box Hill College of TAFE’s Drama/Dance T.O.P (1984) was a dream come true for Kathleen. She went onto continue her studies at Melbourne University, (B. Ed (Sec) in Drama, Dance & Literature), gaining the Dr. Percy Jones Drama Scholarship in 1988. After which, she taught part-time, whist pursuing an acting, modeling and singing career. Kathleen’s TV credits include Henderson Kids, Prime Time, Chances and numerous TV commercials.

In theatre, her work included “Columbine” in The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Over The Rainbow, Skirmishes, The Mysteries and Little Brother, Little Sister. She also played the role of “Helena” in the Australian Film Corporation & Hawthorne Institute’s film version of A Midsummer Night’s Dream - a role she later reprised on stage at La Trobe University’s Agora Theatre. During this time, she fronted a covers band and worked as a catalogue and catwalk model, with her ‘big break’ being the face of Sportscraft in 1990.

Kathleen then pursued a professional administrative career, which amazingly led her to writing, directing and assisting the production of 3 corporate videos, casting Tony Barber as the Narrator. Now a devoted wife and mother, she made her return to the stage in 2003, playing “Yasmine” in the 2003 Salmac production of Chasing Pegasus and "Emily" in the 2004 Salmac production of P.S. I Love You.
