Associate Producer - Jeff Richards

Jeff has been an actor/singer around Melbourne, and abroad for the past 15 years. He has covered many facets in his vocation, from film to television, musicals to straight theatre with credits including The White City Fix, Play Dead, 12 ish, The Big Steal, Mission Impossible, Rose Against The Odds, Boys From The Bush, A Country Practice, Neighbours, The Magistrate, Flying Doctors, Hunting and Stingers.

Early in 1997 Jeff decided to take the creative process a step further and produced his first self-pennned play, Stations, at the Carlton Courthouse in Melbourne. During this period Stations took on a life of its own, where it played to full houses, was placed at the top of the "A List" in "The Age" for the best theatre production to see in Melbourne at that time, and received four awards at the "1997 Victorian Drama League Awards".

Jeff then turned full circle and went back to where he began as an actor - in film. He began writing the feature film Heart, feeling that he'd found an individual niche in his style of writing that had struck a cord with audiences and wanting to explore this discovery further. Heart is now under representation with BrainBOW Productions in Sydney for production in Melbourne, with Jeremy Stanford attached to direct.

Jeff then formed Panther Films Pty Ltd in order to develop and produce four more feature films, in conjunction with Salmac Productions and Big Cat Productions, which is an on going process.

Jeff has since written Water Deep, currently being looked at for production by X-Systems, and has several other pieces written in various stages of completion, while still undertaking his acting career. Not happy just to sit around with one project, Jeff has thrown himself into his other love, music, and is producing his own CD called Jeddahnation, a cross between Indie and grunge music.
