Wardrobe/Props Coordinator - Karen Woulfe

My interest in the Arts industry probably began in high school with Media Studies (photography and film). However I had long held a great love for film & television in general.

In 2003 I completed my Bachelor of Arts (Honours)/Bachelor of Science from Monash University, majoring in Visual Arts (Film and Television). Our final-year production was an adaptation of a short film written by myself. The course involved me in, and enhanced my understanding of many aspects of the filmmaking process. From writing, acting, editing and sound recording, through to props/set dressing, and wardrobe.

Since then I have carried out the roles of; props master, continuity, voice-over artist (French language), director's assistant, extra, and wardrobe coordinator. I've worked on several student films, and short films including fixNATION (2003), Lucky Break (2004), and Brigit and Benny: A Modern Faerietale (2004). The latter being a reunion with the director/writer of fixNATION, Sally McLean.

Currently I am also working on both a feature film (Bondage, David King - Eclipse Media) and a pilot for a comedy series (The Wack Show, Justin Bechtold, Ross Mack & Shane Ryan - Blue Bear Productions). Recently I also completed an intensive voice-over course with Andrew Carlton (www.outtathebox.com.au) and a course in copywriting.

The future? Well, I am looking to write my own script (of course), and further my skills and experience in the Film & Television industry through keeping busy working on various projects.
