TV WORLD
- THE AUSTRALIAN MUSEUM OF MODERN MEDIA
TV World, listed in
the top 10 Victorian Museums by the Herald Sun in 1997, was established
by Bob Phillips (producer for SomersCarrol, based at GTV9) and
his wife, stage and TV performer, Judy Banks in 1988.
Since then, Bob's reputation as a collector & TV Historian has spread far and wide, resulting in very significant donations of artefacts to the museum which now incorporates 5,000 items of memorabilia spanning television's first broadcast in Australia in 1956 to the present day.
