Acting Up Changes Direction
Changes are afoot in the Acting Up camp this month. Details are yet to be released, but a whole new approach to the workshop/masterclass setup will be coming into play in September of this year.
We intend to expand the courses on offer, to include all aspects of performance as well as technical know-how, and we're inviting expressions of interest from Peninsula-based professionals who would be interested in passing on their expertise and sharing their experience with those up-and-coming performers and techs.
If you know someone who might be interested (all positions will be paid on a casual hourly rate), or are interested yourself, then please email Acting Up at actingup at salmac.com with your CV and brief biography.
ACTING UP MASTERCLASS/WORKSHOP UPDATE
Acting Technique Masterclass
Places are starting to fill for this workshop, but there are still a few available, so get in quick if you want to take part!
Due to other commitments, the
Workshop has been reduced to one day - Saturday, August 20th -
the good news is that the price has also been reduced to $80.
So if you want a space where you can delve deeper into characterisation,
whether it be for an upcoming audition piece or just to hone your
skills in this area generally, I'd love to hear from you!
For more information, including class details and student criteria,
please visit the official Acting Up Masterclasses website: www.salmac.com/masterclasses/
To request more information, or apply for a place in a Masterclass,
please email Salmac Productions on actingup

Please note: You will be required to provide a CV/brief biography
of your previous acting work/training upon application for a place
in the masterclass, so the tutor can gauge your level of experience
and tailor the Masterclass to give the best value to all attending
students.
Australian Theatre, Film & Television Indusry Survey
Are you a regular theatre patron? Do you go to the cinema? What's your favorite kind of television program?
Melbourne-based film production house, Salmac Productions, is currently undertaking an online survey on current viewing habits of the Australian populace in the areas of Theatre, Film and Television.
We are looking to get a snapshot of viewing trends over the past six months to compile a statistical report on the subject, which will be made available to interested parties on request.
All personal information supplied by participants (such as name, email, etc) will be kept strictly confidential.
Interested in being part of this project? Then go along to http://www.salmac.com/research/survey.html, where you'll find information about us, our privacy policy and of course, the survey.
We look forward to hearing from you!
And so that's it from me. I hope this email finds everyone well, busy and happy, and I look forward to catching up with you soon!
'Til then ...
Cheers,
Sally McLean
